I don’t need a note.
I don’t need proof.
I don’t need documentation of jury duty or a family emergency or travel.
I don’t care.
I just need you to come back to work when you can, hopefully healthy or recovered from whatever caused you to miss work unexpectedly.
I would rather trust my employees and have someone occasionally get one over on me than treat everyone like they’re up to something.
It’s called your personal time for a reason.
You telling me that you were sick is as much proof as I need.
I have found that because I trust my employees, I know where they are all the time, and it’s not because I ask. I don’t care. It’s because they know there isn’t a penalty, they tell me. They ask openly for the time that they need. Oh, and they get it.
Keep your note.
